The video doorbell: identify your visitors
and control your gate remotely
With video doorbells, you can see who is ringing at your gate and interact with your visitors whether you are in your living room or outside via your smartphone. The video doorbell is the choice for security and controlled access.
Key questions to help you choose a video doorbell
Using a badge: The fastest option. Hold the badge in front of the outdoor panel and it opens.
Using my smartphone: For the ultra-connected. Your phone becomes your key via the dedicated app.
From outside: Are you at the back of the garden or at work? Receive the video call on your mobile and let the delivery person in remotely.
By voice (Voice assistant): "Alexa, open the gate." Some connected video doorbells integrate with your smart home hub for hands-free control.
For children: If they come home from school alone and don't have a smartphone yet, a badge or code are the safest options.
For seniors: Some video doorbells comply with accessibility laws and are equipped with an inductive loop compatible with hearing aids.
On a masonry pillar: Generally wide — most outdoor panels are suitable.
On an aluminium post: Generally narrower — check that the outdoor panel dimensions are compatible.
Wireless radio option: Perfect for renovation! If you don't want to dig trenches in your driveway, these models communicate via radio waves. Simply check that the distance between the gate and the house is within the model's range and that there are no obstacles (typically 100 metres in open field, 30 metres with obstacles).
