The coating powder we use is highly durable guaranteed for 30 years and offers excellent finish over time. Our products are Qualicoat and Qualimarine certified, which ensure optimal resistance to corrosion, whatever the atmosphere. The Qualilaquage label also guarantees superior quality finish for powder-coated parts intended for architecture.

Different types of custom gates:
Swing gates
The swing gate and its traditional aesthetics consist of two leaves that open inward or outward. Thanks to a simple mechanism that does not necessarily require motorization, the swing gate allows easy access to pedestrians.
Sliding gates
Modern and refined, the sliding gate adapts to exteriors where space is limited. Equipped with a leaf, these motorized gate models slide along your property on a rail installed on the ground or above.
Cantilever gates
Variant of the sliding gate, the cantilever gate and its clean appearance relies on an arm system that keeps the gate suspended. The cantilever gate is ideal for entrances where installing a rail would be impossible due to an irregular surface.

Aluminum

Aluminum is 100% recyclable, making it an ecological and modern option. Note that all our gates and aluminum products have a 30-year warranty granted subject to compliance with usage and maintenance conditions.
Wood
Natural and warm, wood brings aesthetics with timeless charm that integrates perfectly with contemporary and classic style properties. Kostum gates use exclusively Red Cedar and Accoya. Red Cedar is a type of wood that guarantees both elegance and longevity and whose natural tint is grayed over time. Accoya is characterized by its gray nuances that lighten in contact with UV rays and to display lighter nuances. These noble woods are naturally resistant to bad weather, insects and degradation and ensure exceptional durability over time.

Choice of materials and design

The climatic conditions of your region play a determining role: aluminum is renowned for its resistance to corrosion and its low maintenance, it is particularly suitable for humid or saline environments, while wood, although aesthetically appreciated, requires more sustained maintenance to preserve its longevity against bad weather. Manufacturing in our workshops
Once your custom gate is ordered, we begin a meticulous manufacturing process. The cutting of the slats is carried out with great precision to guarantee perfect adaptation to the dimensions of your opening. For aluminum gates, we apply powder coating, a powder painting technique that offers a finish resistant to UV, bad weather and rust, while allowing color customization. Wooden gates are subjected to protective treatment to preserve their durability against outdoor conditions, while maintaining natural aesthetics.

Hand-assembled in our workshops in Locronan, Brittany, our products are designed in a robust and infinitely recyclable material - aluminum. Installation of your gate
Kostum accompanies you in all stages of your development project. From design to post-installation follow-up through installation, we ensure comprehensive monitoring of your project by connecting you to our network of craftsmen throughout the territory to guarantee you an installation carried out with respect for your requirements and with constant concern for precision and perfection.
Warranty and post-installation follow-up
We build durable, dismantleable and repairable gates but our responsibility does not stop at manufacturing and delivery of your gate, it also extends to its maintenance and repair. Upon simple presentation of the order number, your Kostum installer undertakes to perform a precise diagnosis, establish a quote and plan the intervention necessary to repair your gate. Your Kostum installer remains your main contact throughout the life of your custom gate, but if this is not possible, Kostum takes over. We maintain complete traceability of the manufactured product, which allows us to direct you to a dedicated contact if needed. You can also make Kostum products evolve by installing a motor or decoration several years later!
Kostum is committed to offering you quality products. Our aluminum gates are guaranteed for 30 years against any manufacturing defect or abnormal deformation. Wooden gates have a 5-year warranty. These warranties are granted subject to compliance with usage and maintenance conditions.
